Water Resources Engineer

Ryan Johnson is a water resources engineer in the Water, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Energy Solutions (WARES) group at RTI International. In this role Ryan has gained 10 years of experience in data acquisition, data system managment, forecast system configuration, and hydrologic and hydraulic model development and calibration. Ryan's hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience has mostly involved the development of the HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SAC-SMA and Stochastic Event Flood Model (SEFM) models for dam breach analyses, Corps Water Management System (CWMS) platforms, Deltares Flood Forecasting System (FEWS) platforms, Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) studies, and Probabilistic Flood Hazard Analyses (PFHA). Ryan has also been responsible for maintenance and configuration of data management systems including WISKI and AQUARIUS using applications built in ASP.NET or Python. Over the past 5 years Ryan's focus has been mostly in the WARES Risk group focusing on PFHA, PMF studies and downstream consequence analyses.
