Dr. Austin Olaiz-Rockwell is an engineering manager at Black & Veatch, where he leads the dam safety program in Arizona. He has over 10 years of industry experience supporting geotechnical and risk assessment aspects of new and existing dams. During his time at Arizona State University, Austin authored several technical publications on practical approaches for evaluating the moisture-driven response of unsaturated soils.
